Induction of Trib1 mRNA levels in normolipidemic mice treated with BBR. Mice fed an NCD were administered with BBR (200 mg/kg, n = 10) or the vehicle (n = 10) for 14 days. Four h fasted blood and liver samples were collected at the end of treatment. (A,B) Serum TG and TC levels were measured after treatment with BBR or the vehicle. (C,D) Hepatic TG and TC contents were measured in individual liver samples treated with BBR or the vehicle. (E) Quantitative real-time PCR were used to determine the relative expression levels of Trib1 and other hepatic genes after normalization with Gapdh mRNA levels.
