Total n = 746. Low skeletal mass index: <7.0 kg/m2 for men, <5.7 kg/m2 for women; weak grip strength: <26 kg for men, <18 kg for women; slow usual gait speed: <1.0 m/s. Adjusted factors were age, sex, body mass index, exercise habit, serum albumin, oral antihyperglycemic drugs, insulin therapy and cardiovascular diseases (ischemic heart diseases, cerebrovascular diseases and peripheral artery diseases).
