Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining of the same eye (C) highlights location of cell nuclei and the intact morphology of the retinal layers. In contrast to the variable expression seen among retinal cell types in the murine eye, LSD1 is expressed at relatively uniform and equal levels throughout the entire human retina.
