HtrA4 reduces the motility of cancer cells. The lung cancer A549 cells with exogenous production of HtrA4, ΔN-HtrA4, or their inactive variants had a decreased ability to migrate (A), while the MCF7 and A549 cells with the HtrA4 gene expression silenced by shRNA migrated more efficiently (B) compared to the control cells. The analysis was performed using a wound healing assay in two independent approaches with at least ten photos. Representative images are shown in Figure S4. The data are presented as means ± SD. p-value < 0.05 (*), 0.01 (**), or 0.001 (***).
