Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) in high-cholesterol diet (HFCD)-fed LXRα-knockout mice. HFCD feeding induces severe steatohepatitis in LXRα-knockout mice, associated with an increase in CD68+CD11b+ Kupffer cells/macrophages and inflammatory responses [87].
