Differential expression of arcuate neuropeptide genes related to hunger and satiety signaling. Orexigenic AgRP (A) and NPY (B) mRNAs were elevated after RYGB in both studies relative to sham controls. Anorexigenic CART (C) and POMC (D) mRNAs were reduced in RYGB following 4 weeks, but not 12 weeks of pre-feeding. Statistical analysis was performed using EdgeR with raw p-values; *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001 compared to corresponding sham control group.
