Hydroxytyrosol inhibits PLCγ-1 phosphorylation. HUVECs were treated with (A–C) 3-indolacetic acid (1 mM), 5-hydroxytryptophol (1 mM), melatonin (1 mM) and serotonin (1 mM), and (D and E) hydroxytyrosol (50 μM) for 4 h and then incubated with VEGF (25 ng/mL) for 10 min. Western blot membranes were incubated with anti-PLCγ-1 and anti-p-PLCγ-1 antibodies.
