Psm-triggered tocopherol accumulation in leaves is quantitatively and qualitatively altered in tocopherol biosynthetic mutants. Endogenous levels of tocopherols are shown in leaves of different Arabidopsis lines infiltrated with 10 mm MgCl2 (mock treatment) or inoculated with Psm at 48 h post treatment. Different letters above the bars denote statistically significant differences of the values in each section (P < 0.05, ANOVA and posthoc Tukey’s HSD test). Other details are as described in Figure 3.
