Effect of worm storage conditions on RNA yield. Four store conditions:(I) fresh worms (no storage); (II) stored in RNAlater (Ambion, Cat.#AM7021) at 4 °C for 24 h followed by storage at −80 °C until test; (III) stored in RNase-free water without RNAlater at 4 °C for 24 h followed by storage at −80 °C until test; (IV) frozen in liquid nitrogen and then stored at −80 °C until test.
