The effect of melatonin on autophagy in hearts exposed to ischaemia and reperfusion. Hearts were subjected to 20 min global ischaemia followed by 30 min reperfusion with and without melatonin (0.3 μM) (see Fig. 2) for subsequent preparation of cytosolic samples.
