Alveolar epithelial inhibition of expression of smooth muscle actin (ACTA2), connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), fibroblast growth factor 7 (FGF7), and fibroblast growth factor 10 (FGF10) is not altered by indomethacin. Cells were cultured as in Fig. 7. On day 2 of culture, 10 μM indomethacin was added and the media were changed to 1 mg/ml BSA. Cells were harvested on day 5. Results are from four independent experiments. There was no significant effect of indomethacin. Individual comparisons were not made since the data for the effects without indomethacin are included in the data in Fig. 6.
