Vertically cut tomato fruits were scanned and analyzed with tomato analyzer 3.0 software (Figure 1b). Fruit shape index is length-to-width ratio of the fruit. Error bars in Figure 1b represent standard error of means (n > 3 biological replicates, where each replicate had at least 50 tomato fruits).
