Histone deacetylase inhibitors (SAHA and Sodium butyrate (SB)) reduced the Bcr-Abl mRNA levels in CML cell lines. (A) K562 expressing wild-type Bcr-Abl, imatinib-sensitive KBM5 and imatinib-resistant KBM5-T315I CML cells were treated with SAHA (5 μM) for 48 hours and the Bcr-Abl mRNA levels were determined by qRT-PCR. (B) KBM5 and KBM5-T315I cells were treated with SB (2.5 mM) for 48 hours and the Bcr-Abl mRNA levels were examined.
