Sperm energy restriction and recovery (SER) treatment rescues sperm fertilization capacity and embryo development of a sub-fertile mouse strain. Sperm obtained from FerDR/DR mice were treated under CAP or SER conditions and used for insemination as described in the section “Materials and Methods.” (A) Percentage of fertilization of FerDR/DR sperm calculated as percentage of oocytes that reached two-cell embryo stage. (B) Percentage of blastocyst development calculated as percentage of the two-cell embryos that reached 3.5-day blastocyst stage.
