MRI Evolution of Individual 1

Axial T2-weighted images and a mid-sagittal T1-weighted image of individual 1 at 9 months and 12 years of age, shown in comparison with age-matched control subjects and an individual with PMD aged 9 months. At 9 months, MRI findings are indistinguishable from PMD, with supra- and infratentorial white matter signal that is diffusely elevated on the T2-weighted images. The corpus callosum is thinner than normal. At age 12 years, supratentorial white matter signal has normalized, but there is still mild hyperintensity of the cerebellar white matter and the middle cerebellar peduncles.
