Treatment monitoring. A 46-year-old male with knee pain. (a) First study was performed on January 2018 whereas a focal area of increase of T2 relaxation values was identified at lateral aspect of articular surface of patella (white arrow) on T2-mapping sequences consistent with chondromalacia. Patient undergone surgery (chondrocyte graft) and a new MRI was performed on March 2019. (b) This new study shows decrease of T2 values at surgical area (white arrow) which suggest presence of new hyaline cartilage.
