For all confidence levels, coverage remained above the nominal level in all simulations, and for a 95% confidence level (right plot), coverage hovered slightly above the nominal level for all sample sizes. The method was robust as to whether the subject-level noise had homogeneous (red curves) or heterogeneous variance (blue curves), or as to whether the estimated boundary (dashed curves) or true boundary (solid curves) method was used.
