Mean values of absolute copy numbers of mRNA transcripts for (a) full-length androgen receptor (ARfl), androgen receptor splice variant 7 (ARV7), and glucocorticoid receptor (GR), (b) ARV7/ARfl and GR/ARfl ratios in each group. The copy numbers of the mRNAs of each receptor were adjusted to the corresponding housekeeping gene (GAPDH) mRNA levels and were transformed by the natural logarithm. Group 1, hormone-naïve and T1a or T1b prostate cancer (Pca); Group 2, hormone-sensitive and advanced/metastatic Pca; Group 3, chemo-naïve castration-resistant Pca (CRPC); Group 4, CRPC with chemotherapy.
