Cytokine release by DC stimulated with live, HI-, UVI-, and PFAI-USA300. DC were left untreated (Ctrl) or stimulated for 24 h with live and differentially inactivated USA300 strain. The secretion of IL-12, TNF-α, IL-6 (A), IL-10, IL-1β, IL-8 (B), and IL-23 (C) was measured in DC culture supernatants.
