A subset of CD68 positive macrophages co-express the integrin ITGAM/CD11b, detected with anti-CD11b antibody. Co-expressing cells are predominantly found in the epineurium (ad), whereas the CD68 positive macrophages in the nerve track do not co-express CD11b (eh). (i,j) reveals the co-expressing CD11b and CD68 cells predominate in the epineurium, but only CD68 positive cells are prominent in the nerve (kl).
