Flow chart of literature search outcome. Systematic literature search was conducted using the BrainMap database supplemented by a PubMed search. A total of 1,195 fMRI studies were identified and examined. Data were excluded for duplicates, reviews or meta‐analysis studies; reporting no coordinates or only region‐of‐interest results; without qualified contrast or appropriate control conditions; or using atypical task design.
