Figure 4 has two graphs. The first graph plots alpha ZEL values (ranging from 0 to 8 in unit intervals) (y-axis) for maternal and fetal circulation with standard error of mean across perfusion time (ranging from 0 to 360 minutes in intervals of 60). The second graph plots ZEN-14-Sulf values (ranging from 0 to 25 in intervals of 5) (y-axis) for maternal and fetal circulation with standard error of mean across perfusion time (ranging from 0 to 360 minutes in intervals of 60). — Perfusion profiles of $α -zearalenol$ ( $α -ZEL$ ) and zearalenone-14-sulfate (ZEN-14-Sulf). Release of $α -ZEL$ and ZEN-14-Sulf to the maternal and fetal circulation during human placental perfusion with $318 μ g / L$ zearalenone (ZEN) over 6 h. Data represent $mean \pm SD$ of three independent placentas perfused with medium containing ZEN. Note: $p < 0.05$ is considered statistically significant (* denotes differences between maternal and fetal concentrations in $α -ZEL$ perfusions). Perfusion data comparing maternal and fetal concentrations were analyzed by unpaired Student's t-test.
