The Shannon diversity index negatively correlated with the abundance of Staphylococcus using both methods, 16S metagenomic sequencing (A; Otu001; Pearson’s r: –0.556, p < 0.01∗) and cultivation (B; Pearson’s r: –0.629, p < 0.001). ∗p-value is not below the corrected p-value [Benjamini–Hochberg correction (FDR < 0.05) for multiple testing] and the correlation could not be considered as statistically significant.
