Time bins of respiration with less than 10% or more than 50% behavioral breathing (threshold 8 Hz) were analyzed separately. Data are shown as mean ± standard deviation (SD). Statistical analysis was performed with SigmaPlot 12.5 using two way ANOVA (General Linear Model; Degrees of Freedom: DFTotal 36) followed by Pairwise Multiple Comparison. PNT = P-value normality test; PEVT = P-value equal variance test; FBhvl = F-value for comparison of behavioral breathing, FGT = F-value for comparison of genotype; Fint = F-value for interaction; PBhvl = P-value for comparison of behavioral breathing; PGT = P-value for comparison of genotype; PInt = P-value for interaction. Pairwise Multiple Comparison were performed using the Holm-Sidak method. P-values for comparison between genotype per behavioral categories are marked as “§.” P-values for comparison between behavioral categories are marked as “#.” n: number of animals tested from each genotype and behavioral (Bhvl) group. Apneas (Pause > 1 s) are calculated per minute. n.t.: not tested.
