Relative fold change of transient receptor potential vanilloid 4 (TRPV4) mRNA in porcine choroid plexus-Riems (PCP-R) cells 24 h after incubation with specific cytokines known to be involved in inflammatory responses. TNF-α (0.15 ng/mL), IL-1β (10 ng/mL), TGF-β1 (2 ng/mL), IL-4 (10 ng/mL), IL-6 (20 ng/mL), and IL-10 (5 ng/mL) were added both apically and basolaterally in individual wells (n = 5 for each cytokine). Fold change of TRPV4 in treated wells is presented relative to the normalized controls (n = 6). GAPDH and RPS18 were used as housekeeping genes to determine the 2^−ΔΔCT fold change in TRPV4. The minimum and maximum fold-change values are shown as individual points on the graph. Circles signify the maximum and minimum values.
