The LINC complex links the nucleoskeleton with the cytoskeleton. Cytoskeletal filaments (actin, desmin, and microtubules) are anchored to nesprins at the outer nuclear membrane, which couple to the SUN family of proteins spanning the inner nuclear membrane to connect with the nucleoskeleton (lamins).
