An adolescent Marfan syndrome-specific International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health for Children and Youth (ICF-CY) model derived from the data describing the adolescent perceived impact of Marfan syndrome on (physical) functioning, disability and its contextual factors. The ICF-CY uses an alphanumeric coding system. The letters are according to the ICF-CY: “B” for Body function, “S” for Body structures, “D” for Activities/Participation and “E” for Environmental factors and are followed by a numeric code that starts with the chapter number of one digit [6]
