Analytical packages commonly used for the calculation of centrality in ecological studies and references for each package. Only tnet, sna and Ucinet packages caution in their documentation about edge transformations when calculating shortest paths. However, other analytical packages have functions based on these without warning about the potential need to perform edge transformations, e.g. bipartite uses tnet’s distance_w function to calculate weighted centrality.
