(0.6 IU/g bodyweight), or saline. Two hours later, a bolus injection
(i.p.) of 1×106 live E.
coli was administered. After another hour, peritoneal lavages and
blood samples were collected and PMNs (A and B) and white blood cell counts (C
and D) were determined (n= 3–10; #p<0.05 vs. E.
coli, one-way ANOVA; *p<0.05 vs. LPS +
