Indonesian Guideline For CAP Patients

Patient Care	The Strategies:
Wards	One of the following options: Beta-lactam iv + beta-lactamase inhibitor iv The second and third generation of cephalosporins iv Respiratory fluoroquinolone iv Macrolide (additional antibiotic when atypical infections identified)
Intensive care	No pseudomonal infection: The third-generation of cephalosporin iv + macrolide When a pseudomonal infection presents, one of the following options: Anti-pseudomonal cephalosporin iv Carbapenem iv + anti-pseudomonal antibiotic iv Aminoglycoside iv If there is an atypical infection, using the following three-drug combination: Anti-pseudomonal cephalosporin iv (or carbapenem iv) + macrolide (or respiratory fluoroquinolone iv) + aminoglycoside iv
