% by age groups was calculated using total population of each specific age group (eg, for OA <35 years), the percentage was calculated using the number of females with OA as the numerator and the total number of people with OA as the denominator (13 975+13 638= 27 613). % female <35 years was calculated using the number of females in the age group <35 years as the numerator (13 975) and the number of females with OA as the denominator (287 951).
