Type and number of scattering events calculated using the Geant4-DNA physical model for the interaction between the cobalt-60 radioactive source (1.25 MeV) and nanoparticles embedded in water. The simulation was performed with 3 × 108 incidents photons divided into 30 steps. The Aucore/Aushell and Aucore/Ptshell nanoparticles were simulated separately.
