In vitro activity of SP141 in human HCC cells. (A) Non-malignant human hepatocytes (LO2 and CL48) and HCC cells were exposed to various concentrations (0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.5 μM) of SP141 for 72 h, followed by measurement of the cell viability via MTT assays. HCC cells were treated with various concentrations of SP141 for 24 h or 48 h, then examined for their (B) clonogenic survival; (C) migration ability; (D) invasion ability; and (E) expression of EMT-related proteins. All assays were performed in triplicate and repeated three times. (*P < 0.05 and #P < 0.01).
