Monocytes and monocyte-derived cells express signature genes that are not overlapped by CNS-associated macrophages and cDCs. Heatmap showing the expression of signature genes in monocyte/monocyte-derived APCs, CNS-associated macrophages, cDCs, and microglia. Signature genes for each cell type were identified based on previous studies. Colors on the heatmap represent log₂ values of TPM.
