Western immunoblot analysis of seminal plasma (50 ug total protein) in odontocetes relative to purified llama seminal plasma ovulation-inducing factor (OIF/NGF, 100 ng) in Lane 2 and an extract of mouse brain (20 ug total protein) in Lane 4 as positive controls for β-NGF. Protein separation followed by transfer to a nitrocellulose membrane and stained with Ponceau-S stain (a) and immunoblot with rabbit anti-NGF at 1:1000 dilution followed by goat anti­rabbit antibody conjugated to horseradish peroxidase at 1:5000 dilution (b). Beluga B in Lane 7 involved seminal plasma collected Sept 27, morning hour.
