Inactivation of chemokine-mediated lymphocyte infiltration by proteolytic cleavage. A Secretion of the chemokines CXCL9, CXCL10, and CXCL11 as well as shedding of CX3CL1/fractalkine leads to chemotactic recruitment of tumor-suppressive lymphocytes to the tumor site.
