Dose response data on survival of 1-day-old axenic brine shrimp larvae after continuous exposure to different concentrations of phloroglucinol. Phloroglucinol treatment of axenic brine shrimp larvae protected them significantly against a subsequent V. parahaemolyticus M0904 challenge (107 cells/ml). Survival percentages of phloroglucinol-treated brine shrimp larvae 48 h post infection are presented. Phloroglucinol untreated larvae that were either challenged with V. parahaemolyticus (positive control) or unchallenged (negative control) served as controls. Error bars represent the standard deviation (n = 5). Different letters indicate significant differences (P < .001).
