Clinical activity score (CAS) of mice. After colitis induction, the animals were treated for 7 days with distilled water (CON as “control”), 3% dextran sulfate sodium (DSS, as COLITIS), 125 mg/kg sulfasalazine (SASP, as “POSITIVE CON”) and three concentrations (100 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg, and 400 mg/kg) of IN, respectively. The untreated group showed no improvement after 14 days, while treatment with SASP and three concentrations of IN significantly improved the CAS of colitis mice.
