Beta event characteristics predict MEP amplitude. Beta event number and maximum amplitude were both positively related to MEP amplitude, indicating that a greater number of events, as well as larger events, preceded larger MEPs. Relationships between the event duration and MEP amplitude are not shown due to lack of significance (see Table 1). The timing of the last event relative to TMS delivery was negatively associated with MEP amplitude, indicating that MEPs were larger when an event occurred more closely in time to TMS delivery. Thick lines indicate group-level model fits and thin lines indicate individual subject regression lines (fit using least-squares method). All plotted data were obtained using the 75th percentile threshold.
