Note that LP-ratio increases doing hemorrhagic shock but tends to normalize after re-infusion of blood. The rise of LP ratio is due to an increase in lactate levels whereas pyruvate shows a less pronounced elevation. Time 0 indicates achievement of MAP equal to 40 mmHg
