(A) mRNA of uncoupling protein 3 (UCP3) was quantified by RT-qPCR. (B) The copy number of a gene coded by mitochondrial DNA (NADH Dehydrogenase subunit 1) was compared to the copy number of a nuclear-coded gene (β-actin).
