Specifically, pathologic stage was coded as I = 1, II = 2, III = 3, IV = 4. Tumor stage was coded as T1 = 1, T2 = 2, T3 = 3, T4 = 4. Histologic grade was coded as G1 = 1, G2 = 2, G3 = 3, G4 = 4.
