Figure 3

Genes enriched in granulosa cells, theca cells, large luteal cells (LLC), and small luteal cells (SLC). Enriched genes are involved in processes related to signaling, adhesion, extracellular matrix, steroidogenesis, transport, or are unknown. Interestingly, it appears that the categories change from somatic to luteal cells with mainly genes involved in signal transduction enriched in LLC and more adhesion or extracellular matrix genes enriched in SLC. Tables of these enriched genes are in Romereim et al. (36).
