Effect of GA₃ application on endogenous GAs levels in sweetpotato “Georgia Jet” roots. Levels of bioactive (GA₁, GA_4, and GA₇) and inactive (GA₂₀) forms of GA, measured at two weeks (2W) after planting, are presented. Bars represent mean of three independent biological replicates (each consisting of roots pooled from four individual plants) ± SE. Significance analysis was performed by using student’s t-test (P ≤ 0.05), where unlike letters represent significant differences between treatments within a sampling group. CTRL, Control (treated with water); GA₃, application of 50 ppm gibberellic acid 3 for two weeks; PB, application of 5 ppm paclobutrazol for two weeks. The content of GA₃ (active form) was relatively high, reaching values 10,000, 70,000, and 4,000 ng g^-1 DW for CTRL, GA_3, and PB treatment groups, respectively.
