The concept of a real‐time NMR experiment. A series of spectra is recorded in short time‐intervals. Normalized signal intensity is plotted against time and fitted to an appropriate mono‐/bi‐exponential build‐up/decay equation. Extracted rate constants enable prediction of a folding model, while chemical shifts describing the states can be directly inferred from the spectra and population in steady‐state/equilibrium can be extracted from the maximum of the normalized intensity.
