A model of how CCN5 may intervene fibrosis via transforming growth factor‐β (TGF‐β) pathway. Exogeneous TGF‐β1 induces fibroblast to myofibroblast transdifferentiation. Knock out (KO) of transforming growth factor‐β receptor 1 (TGFBR1), reduces the effect of TGF‐β1.
