The synaptic vesicle KEGG pathway overlaid with microarray analysis with
blue highlight identifying genes showing significantly increased expression in
association with physical activity and decreased expression in Aging or AD.
Significant genes are involved in synaptic vesicle trafficking, priming and
docking at the active zone: SNAP25, synaptobrevin/VAMP2, synapsin 2 (SYN2),
syntaxin binding protein 1 (STXBP1)) as well as synaptic vesicle endocytosis and
recycling (dynamin-like 1 (DNML1), DNML3, adaptor protein complex 2 (AP2M1). No
genes in the pathway showed decreased expression in association with physical
activity.
