Preparation and Mechanism of Action of the FM@PFC/siSTAT3 Nanoemulsions

(A) Michael-addition copolymerization of AMD3100 with HMBA resulted in the formation of M, which was subsequently fluorinated with HFBA to obtain FM. PFC nanoemulsion was stabilized with FM through fluorous interactions before loading siSTAT3 by electrostatic adsorption. (B) Treatment with FM@PFC/siSTAT3 inhibits CXCR4 and silences expression of STAT3 to inhibit tumor metastasis by promoting apoptosis, decreasing MMP9/VEGF expression, blocking tumor neovascularization, and activating antitumor immunity in the tumor microenvironment.
