Muscle efficiency: Data are Mean (SD) delta efficiency (defined as the slope of the line relating energy expenditure to power generated at different workloads) by graded bicycle ergometry. In all groups, resistance training resulted in a significant decline in skeletal muscle work Efficiency over the power generation ranges: 10–25W and 25–50W. There were no significant between group differences in the absolute or proportional magnitudes of the treatment effects.
