Table 1.

Mean (SD) subject demographics, body composition, resting energy expenditure and resting RQ. There were no significant differences between groups at baseline but there were significant group x time effects in the intervention such that non-weight-reduced individuals gained more FFM and had a higher reduction in weight, FM, and % body fat than individuals who were weight-reduced. Significant P values are in bold.
